TAKING AFRICAN BEAUTY
GLOBAL ONE JAR AT A TIME

OLORI is a proudly African haircare brand born in the vibrant heart of Lagos, Nigeria, now made in the USA.

With a devotion to healthy hair and flawless skin, our founder's passion ignited over 15 years ago, conjuring the grand vision of what is now the glorious Olori Kitchen Lab. Together with her mother, they wove the threads of beauty alchemy, infusing each potion with ancestral secrets.

Our goal is to take African beauty global one jar at a time.

meet the founder

Meet Toyin, the Nigerian-American beauty maven, and corporate guru on a mission to take African beauty global! With a childhood love affair with her mom's makeup bag and bathroom treasure trove, her destiny to create OLORI took a cool 15 years to manifest. Having conquered the realms of cosmetics giants and consumer goods across the US, Europe, and Africa, she's a beauty business mastermind who knows her way around brand marketing, product development, and distribution logistics, all with an unwavering focus on the African consumer.

But what really sparked her entrepreneurial fire was a hair coloring mishap that led to the birth of OLORI's flagship product, the Deep Conditioning & Restorative Treatment. Inspired by her mother's magical concoction that nursed her and her sister’s hair back to life, Toyin's friends and family became her eager test subjects, craving more of the good stuff.

Thus, OLORI sprouted from her dreams into a tangible reality, aptly named the Damage Be Gone range—a testament to the transformative power of her creation.

A queen’s remarkable journey now turned into empowering multicultural women worldwide to embrace their crowns with pride!

‘This conditioning mix literally reversed the damage in my hair – hence the inspiration to name the starter range Damage Be Gone. I shared the sample mix with about 20 of my friends and family over a one-month period and when they kept asking for more samples, I realized I had something special in this mix and that’s literally how Olori was finally birthed out of my dreams and into real life.’

an african family heritage

With entrepreneurial genes coursing through her veins, Toyin inherited her grandfather's innovative spirit. Jacob Soboyega Odulate who was the inventor and founder of the Nigerian household headache remedy the iconic Alabukun Powder. Growing up in a family of alchemists, she draws inspiration from ancestral recipes passed down by her mother, aunts, and the remarkable legacy of her family, all while harnessing the power of locally sourced ingredients. It's the perfect fusion of tradition and ingenuity.
